Jiddu Krishnamurti books are being read in China
Indian edition of a new book titled 'Facing a World in Crisis' was recently launched by Krishnamurti Foundation of America. This book is a collection of the Jiddu Krishnamurti speeches in Switzerland and Britain in the 1970s and 1980s.
Mark Lee who is an executive director of the Krishnamurti Foundation of America was speaking at the book release. According to Mark Lee, many of the young people in China are reading J Krishnamurti books and they are interested in knowing the Philosophy that can give them answers from within. Initially, Officials of China kept a close watch on the J Krishnamurti books distribution, As they did not want anything that would be related to the church. But now, China does not consider J. Krishnamurti a threat.
Chinese authorities have given permission to publish 25 titles of Krishnamurti's works and the translations (by official agencies.
